The Convent is situated on the A4183, just off the A34, six miles south of Oxford. At the centre is the Chapel and adjoining it the Community wing linking the Senior School to the Junior school. The school stands in its own grounds and possesses a large sports hall, an indoor heated swimming pool, extensive facilities for physical education, a well equipped music block, computer room, technology and textiles rooms and up to date laboratories.
Pupils are accepted at 11+ on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination and girls are admitted to sixth form subject to a satisfactory report from their previous school and/or performance in their GCSE examinations.
The aim of the school is to encourage each girl to give of her best in the happy atmosphere of a Catholic community and according to Christian principles. It should be noted that although the school is Roman Catholic pupils of other denominations are accepted and while maintaining its Catholic identity there is a good ecumenical dimension to the school. The well-qualified and caring staff continue the long tradition of the school in helping the girls to acquire the qualifications and skills they need for entrance to university, college or professional training at various levels.
